The HELiCON Connector enables a safe and convenient re-use of existing CAD and PDM data. The definitions, structures, properties or locations of parts can directly be used to configure products or to jumpstart the rule definition. The export of configuration data to HiCAD/HELiOS ensures that CAD and PDM data are always up to date, and that only valid product compositions and CAD drawings will be generated.

The HELiCON Studio allows a fast and easy definition of component rules by means of simple table entries, formulae and relations. The integrated standard connection to HiCAD and HELiOS enables a convenient re-use of existing data. The given information is presented in a generally intelligible manner and can therefore be easily adjusted, even by staff members without any programming skills. The HELiCON kernel will then use these knowledge-based product rules as a guideline for the detection of valid solutions.

The HELiCON Configurator enables you to configure your products locally via an intuitive, customisable user interface. The operation is very easy and can be compared to the LEGO principle. As soon as you have realised a product according to your requirements, the corresponding product model will immediately be visualised in a photo-realistic manner. At the same time, all necessary production data will be generated, such as bills of materials, detailed 2-D/3-D CAD drawings or rendered representations of the product.
